YoungIFOA Seven: The Series

October 26, 2012

Literary Arts Family

An integral part of the International Festival of Authors (IFOA) for the past eight years, YoungIFOA was born as a way to include a younger generation of readers in a festival of international repute.

When David McLean, beloved grandfather and avid adventurer, dies at the age of 92, he leaves behind a very unusual will that outlines the seven tasks he has set for his seven grandsons. Bestselling authors Eric Walters, John Wilson, Ted Staunton, Richard Scrimger, Shane Peacock, Norah McClintock, and Sigmund Brouwer bring to life a series of adventures that take readers from the top of Kilimanjaro to the bottom of the Mediterranean. Along the way, readers will meet an aging movie star, some comically inept mobsters, a few scary Icelanders, and an angry grizzly bear.

All seven authors will appear and read from their books in the series followed by a Q&A with the young readers.
