About Reena Katz:
Through collective talking, whispering, yelling and listening, Katz considers bodies as sites of knowledge, and communication as a social practice. She investigates how human bodies are interdependent, failing and empathic. Her installations, recordings and live performances occur in galleries, online, and most often, in public spaces. Katz's HATCH residency marks her first foray into a theatrical space. Her projects have been exhibited and performed across North America. She is the 2012 recipient of the Social Justice Fellowship at Eugene Lang College, and 2013 resident artist at New York’s Flux Factory.
