Mob Bounce is a northwest coast Native hip-hop duo comprised of The Northwest Kid (Gitxsan) and Heebz the Earthchild (Cree/Metis) who deliver passionate and soulful music that blends Indigenous-influenced hip-hop and EDM with traditional and contemporary elements. Both MCs' gripping lyricism delves into spirituality, social awareness and justice, with a deep connection to land and place. Mob Bounce is Indigenous hip-hop music and poetry with conviction.
Boogey the Beat
Boogey The Beat is an Anishinaabe DJ and producer who blends traditional Indigenous songs with modern electronic beats. First discovering music production in high school, he quickly rose to become one of the top hip-hop producers in the city of Winnipeg. His first single, HOKA, reached number one on the National Aboriginal Music Countdown and landed him licensing opportunities providing music for CBC, APTN, and Vice Media.
This JUNO-nominated Iraqi-Canadian artist has garnered significant attention with both his music and politics by dropping #truthbombs left and right. Former member of the critically acclaimed Montreal group, Nomadic Massive, Narcy first made a name for himself in 2003, when the U.S. invaded his family’s home country of Iraq, quickly becoming a prominent voice for the young Arab diaspora in North America. More recently, Narcy collaborated with YasiinBey on “R.E.D.” produced by A Tribe Called Red, a track that has garnered almost a million YouTube views.
