Submissions to Harbourfront Centre

A key component of Harbourfront Centre's mandate is championing the creation of new artistic works while providing a platform for innovation, creation and excellence.

Some of these programmes include HATCH: emerging performance projects, Fresh Ground new works, Visual Arts open call for professional artists' submission for exhibitions in York Quay Gallery and the Craft Studio's Artist-in-Residence Programme.

Many of the fantastic works are brought through Harbourfront Centre due to our invaluable relationships with community partners. Partnerships give community organizations the opportunity to showcase the artistic excellence found within their communities and collaborate with an international, professional and arts-based organization.

Information Sessions at Harbourfront Centre

Harbourfront Centre's Community and Educational Programmes (CEP) Department is currently accepting proposals to co-produce programmes and events during the period of April 2013 – March 2014. Click here for detailed information on how you can become involved.

To assist community groups to better understand a partnership with Harbourfront Centre and to put a strong proposal forward, each winter we invite eligible groups to participate in an information session. However, we encourage all proposals, even from those who have been unable to attend an information session.

Fresh Ground new works

A maximum of $20,000 each will be awarded to projects which successfully fulfill the criteria of a new, collaborative artistic creation incorporating more than one discipline or field.

HATCH

Companies selected to participate in HATCH: emerging performance projects receive a one-week residency in the Studio Theatre, located at Harbourfront Centre.

Visual Arts

Harbourfront Centre seeks exhibition proposals from professional contemporary artists for new works in fine art, craft, new media, design, architecture and photography.
