The Lakeside Terrace is one of the most attractive venues in the York Quay Centre. The room is bright and airy with west and south walls of glass affording an excellent view of the lake, overlooking the pond in the summer and the skating rink in the winter. The Lakeside Terrace has a built-in bar and doors which can open onto the patio. The stage is located at the north end of the room, and a skylight runs north-south the entire length of the venue, including over the stage. The number of windows and skylight limit the use of the venue for programmes requiring lighting effects or audio-visual support (slides, overheads, films, and video) during daylight hours.
Because the Lakeside Terrace is used so heavily for Harbourfront Centre's own programming, it is generally only available for rent by the day, not by the week. It is unavailable for use on weekdays during the school year, as we run a School Visits programme throughout the York Quay Centre. It is also unavailable on weekdays during the summer, when it is used by our summer Camps programme.
