The Marilyn Brewer Community Space (MBCS) is a bright, spacious, open-concept venue with large picture windows looking onto Queens Quay West. It is suitable for wall and/or free standing installations, demonstrations, and small trade fair-style exhibitions. The venue has been used for craft activities, a marketplace, cooking demonstrations and café service. The MBCS is also used as a pre- and post-reception area for performances in the Brigantine Room or Studio Theatre.
Because the MBCS is used so heavily for Harbourfront Centre's own programming, it is generally only available for rent by the day, not by the week. It is unavailable for use on weekdays during the school year, as we run a School Visits programme throughout the York Quay Centre. It is also unavailable on weekdays during the summer, when it is used by our summer Camps programme.
