Harbourfront Centre SEEKS GEEKS

The BIG IDEA for HarbourKIDS this Thanksgiving weekend, October 12th and 13th is GEEK OUT!

We are exploring this idea with a variety of performances and interactive activities for families that are based on subjects that one can GEEK OUT on like: Video games, comics, reading, music, visual arts, fantasy, spelling and debating.

We are seeking like-minded individuals who love working with kids and love to GEEK OUT! There are plenty of super cool volunteer opportunities including helping kids build their own robot outfits, assisting at amazing workshops such as button making, 3-D glasses and Dungeons and Dragons and helping out in the electronic laboratory!

If you would like to be part of the GEEK Team please attend the Volunteer Recruitment Session on Saturday, September 6th at 2:00 pm in Miss Lou’s Room, Harbourfront Centre, 235 Queens Quay West.

BORDERS

Is the world smaller than you think? What would a world without borders look like? Can culture be a universal language? What are the limits of your personal space?

Harbourfront Centre – culture without BORDERS.
