CANADA DAY JULY 1 - PART OF WORLD ROUTES SUMMER 2009 PRESENTED BY RBC

Curatorial Statement

The best birthday party in Toronto. Harbourfront Centre brings together artists and activities that reflect the rich mosaic that is Canada today. Join new immigrants who have found refuge in Canada and have chosen to take the oath of citizenship to become Canadians at our swearing in ceremony. Learn about the diversity of Canadian cuisine and what you need to cook Canadian. You can also listen to music, learn dance steps and be part of the diversity that defines Canada. In 2009, Amnesty International joins the festival to present a day of programming with discussion, dance, exhibits and music, highlighting refugee contributions to Canada.
