Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio
August 7, 2010
Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio is the embodiment of world music. The group performed its first concert as part of the Romaeuropa Festival in November 2002. Since then, the group has performed over 280 concerts, from San Francisco to Stockholm, and has participated in some of the most important cultural events around the globe including the Feldkirch Music Festival, Tribeca Film Festival and Berlin Jazz Festival.
These musicians are living proof of the different ways in which various music, culture and religion can work together. Their onstage performances deliver the powerful message of brotherhood and peace in a way that no declaration, rally or television debate can.
The public can view an open rehearsal at 3pm.
Don't miss the documentary screening of The Orchestra of Piazza Vittorio which chronicles the formation and history of the group. Click here for details.
