Chef Washington is a Toronto-based Caribbean fusion food expert that got his start in the restaurant industry while still in high school. From an early start at the Sheraton Hotel, Washington worked at various high-end restaurants in the Toronto area and specialized in French cuisine before focussing on Caribbean flavours. Some 20-plus years later, Washington takes the best of Caribbean cuisine and adds his own fresh flare.
Washington feels that food is like a living canvas, and the combination of perfectly balanced spices are the paint that produce the layers of deep flavour that make each dish a piece of art. Washington’s dream of combining Caribbean-fusion cuisine with a French twist and a warm, upscale dining experience was realized when he opened Toronto’s Room Service restaurant.
