Post-Show Q-and-A
Friday, March 12

Stay after the performance for what will surely be an enlightening Q-and-A with dancer Fabrice Lambert. Lambert will answer your questions about combining technology with dance, how the body is used as a mapping tool and the experience of searching for the self by tracing family history.

Moderated by renowned dancer and choreographer k.g. Guttman.

k.g. Guttman bio:

k.g. Guttman earned her Masters in Fine Arts in Open Media at Concordia University in 2007 with a term as an exchange student at DasArts, Amsterdam, Graduate studies in Performance.

Her art practice intersects dance, performance and the visual arts, resulting in exhibitions, residencies and performance opportunities in diverse institutions. Recent residencies include the Pavillon, Palais de Tokyo and with Pépinières Européennes pour jeunes artistes (with Compagnie David Rolland, Nantes). Her recent installation work has been exhibited at L'Espace Blank in Paris, by invitation from Christine Macel.

k.g. was a company dancer for contemporary dance companies such as Le Groupe Dance Lab (Artistic Director Peter Boneham) and Lynda Gaudreau, Compagnie de Brune, in Montreal.

Her artist book entitled Elapse I & II, launched by Art Metropole in Toronto and La Centrale Gallery in Montreal, was purchased for the permanent collection at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and by the Library of the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa.

She has been commissioned to choreograph a work on the company Dancemakers, Toronto, in collaboration with Michael Trent, artistic director of Dancemakers. The work will premiere at the 2010 Canada Dance Festival in Ottawa and run at the Enwave Theatre in Toronto in the fall of 2010.

k.g. Guttman is currently teaching as an Assistant Professor in the Contemporary Dance Department at Concordia Unvieristy, Montreal.

World Stage Ambassadors

Margaret De Bellis is a Toronto-based artist, singer, dancer, actor and electronic music producer with three stage productions, including DESTINY*S ANGEL "A Mystical Musical" to her credit. She is thrilled to be chosen as one of the first World Stage Ambassadors for Rachid Ouramdane and Ame Henderson.

Chris Dupuis is a videographer and performer. His work has been presented at galleries, theatres and festivals across North America and Europe. He also works as a freelance arts writer and edits the online arts criticism magazine Time and Space.

Krista Posyniak is a Toronto-based dancer. She recently graduated from The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, and since graduating, her career has taken her across Canada. Krista was seen in twentysomethings at the Toronto Fringe Festival in 2009.

Rupal Shah is the associate producer at nightswimming and DVxT Theatre. When she's not in the office, she's travelling around Toronto connecting with people as the community outreach coordinator for Pleiades Theatre and inDANCE.
