Opening Night Reception
Wednesday, March 24
(Following the performance)

You are invited to join Theatre Junction, the World Stage and Free Fall teams, and World Stage Ambassadors for a unique Calgary custom: A Stampede Breakfast. The audience will be served up pancakes, sausages and other hearty goodies that the Stampede crowds in Calgary have become familiar with over the years. Bring your signature white hat and whoop it up with the members of the company and talk about culture in the Wild Canadian West.

*Admission is free-of-charge with a purchased ticket.

Post-Show Q-and-A
Thursday, March 25

Stay after the show for an intimate Q-and-A period with the company, including Theatre Junction artistic director, Mark Lawes. Are you curious about the inner workings of an ensemble-based company, inter-disciplinary collaborations and processes, or the Alberta Avante-Garde? This is your chance to engage in the conversation about the influence of contemporary work in Canada and what the future holds for the art form.

Moderated by Michael Trent, artistic director of Dancemakers.

Michael Trent is the artistic director and resident choreographer of Toronto's Dancemakers and the Centre for Creation, one of Canada’s leading contemporary dance companies and a centre for research and development in new dance practices. The organization's creations, presenting and professional development projects are contemporary, cross-disciplinary and collaborative in nature.
