In this two-day class, students will learn how to make small-scale ceramic components to use in finished jewellery pieces. The first Sunday will be spent in the Ceramics Studio, while the second Sunday will be in the Metal Studio. Participants will make a set of earrings and a pendant combining ceramic and metal, using brass and silver. Jewellery techniques such as sawing, annealing, forming, and finishing will be covered. Clay techniques involve various hand-building methods such as rolling, cutting, pinching, and shaping, as well as using underglaze and other materials to decorate the clay surface.
Course open to adults 18+. No experience necessary.
