Allie Davis is a surface designer with an Honours Bachelor in Craft and Design, majoring in Textiles. They create most of their work using traditional Japanese papers and dyeing techniques, further building on the design with digital manipulation. Designing with someone else’s joyful experience in mind, Allie is a passionate maker who enjoys unique colour combinations. They believe strongly in operating an eco-friendly practice, using only the highest quality, natural materials whenever possible. Allie’s current focus is gender-inclusive design for children, with an emphasis on imagination and a sense of discovery.
Allie was accepted as an Artist-in-Residence (Textiles) at Harbourfront Centre in 2018.
