Born and raised in Québec, Kim Paquet earned a degree in Craft with focus in Jewellery from Cégep du Vieux-Montréal, in partnership with École de Joaillerie de Montreal, in 2017. She arrived at the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design in 2018 to pursue her BFA with a major in Jewellery Design and Metalsmithing. Before her career in craft, Kim worked as a social worker with people experiencing homelessness and addiction. She digs into the complex feelings associated with this time to find inspiration in both raw and industrial materials. Kim has shown her work around Canada, as well as Rome, Portugal and France.
Kim was accepted as an Artist-in-Residence (Metal) at Harbourfront Centre in 2020.
