Michelle Plamondon, a French-Canadian Artist/Jeweller from Winnipeg, Manitoba, received her BFA in Sculpture and Installation from the University of Manitoba in 2015. She also received a second BFA in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD). Michelle has participated in the Centre for Craft Nova Scotia’s summer professional development residency. Her work has been showcased in exhibitions across Canada.
Michelle’s current work is influenced by abandoned spaces and decaying surfaces through which she explores elegance in simple forms as a prominent aesthetic value. She incorporates enamel, metal, cement and found materials into wearable jewelry pieces.
Michelle was accepted as an Artist-in-Residence (Metal) at Harbourfront Centre in 2020.
