Nicole Coon was born and lives in Toronto. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from McGill University and Furniture Design from Sheridan College. As a cross-disciplinary artist, Nicole works with wood, glass, metal, and textiles in both analogue and digital techniques. Nicole takes a craft-first approach, looking at furniture objects as a way to re-examine the conventional boundaries between the functional and aesthetic.
Nicole was accepted as an Artist-in-Residence (Design) at Harbourfront Centre in 2020.
