Jane Bunnett & Maqueque

Making their debut on the Westjet Stage, internationally-acclaimed musicians Jane Bunnett and Maqueque give Canadian audiences a creative new outlook on daring and courageous artistry. Site Animation: Moko Jumbie Stilt Dancers

SwizzleStick Theatre animates the site with Moko Jumbie stilt dancers. The Moko Jumbie is a ‘diviner’ figure, rooted in African heritage and adapted in Trinidad, who wears colourful garb and a carnival mask, watching over his village and able to foresee danger and evil.

Magnetic Beats: Island Soul edition featuring Black Reaction and Tabby Rockstar

With a hard-worn urban edge infusing its cultural sensitivities, Calypso Dreams features an intimate portrait of several Calypso stalwarts, including Calypso Rose, Lord Kitchener, Lord Superior, Lord Blakie and the Mighty Sparrow.
