Don’t miss award-winning DJ and world renowned producer DJ Power with rising stars Afro B and Nailah Blackman as they take you from the UK to Trinidad & Tobago with a dance mix of African pop, Soca and Dancehall.
DJ Power is a native of Toronto, Canada and born to Trinidadian parents. He has produced and remixed tracks from artists such as 50 Cent, Sean Paul, Walshy Fire (Major Lazer), Wycleff and many more. His productions have been featured in the The New York Times, Complex magazine and Fader, and he has produced tracks played by DJs worldwide, including working on Mims' platinum “Why I’m Hot” remix, Knaan’s World Cup Anthem “Waving Flag”, “Bang Bang” feat. Adam Levine from Maroon 5 and “Right There” by Nicole Scherzinger feat. 50 Cent.
The multi-talented singer grew up in South Trinidad where music and a love for her culture flowed through her veins from even before she was born. Born into a musical family, the granddaughter of the legendary Ras Shorty I, creator of Soca music, and the daughter of Abbi Blackman, musician, actress and designer, Nailah has always been destined for greatness.
A multi-talented pianist, singer and songwriter, Afro B is something of a figurehead for the Afrobeats/Afrowave sound sweeping the UK. Starting his musical journey with a residency at a Jamaican club called NW10, the Londoner has since moved into producing, highlighting his talents as one of the industry’s most exciting curators around. Enjoying a meteoric rise, he channels Ghanaian, Congolese and French – on account of his Ivorian heritage – as influences.
