Dear JUNIOR friends and family,

It is with a heavy heart that Harbourfront Centre has had to cancel JUNIOR, Toronto’s international children’s festival. The safety and well-being of our staff and visitors is our top priority, and it is with this in mind – and the severity of the ongoing public health emergency – that we made the decision to cancel JUNIOR this year, to return in May 2021.

We are hopeful that soon we will be able to come together and share in the experience of performing arts. While these times have had a significant impact on our community, we look forward to welcoming visitors to our beautiful waterfront and animating our spaces with engaging performances and educational programs as soon as it is safe to do so.

We are currently exploring various options with artists set to perform at JUNIOR (originally scheduled for May 16–22, 2020), in the hope that we may offer online programming and/or welcome these artists at a later date for you to enjoy in person.

Harbourfront Centre will remain closed until further notice as we continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation regarding the COVID-19 virus and follow the advice and guidelines of Toronto Public Health. Patrons with tickets for upcoming events, including JUNIOR, will be contacted with details of any postponements or cancellations and will receive information regarding refunds.

We wish you and your loved ones good health in these challenging times.

All the very best,

Mary Francis Moore
