What feeds you?
Art feeds us. It nourishes our souls, our minds and our imaginations.
At Junior 2020, we have curated a week of dance, comedy, film, visual art, circus and theatre that explores themes of home. For some, home is flying through the air as a circus performer, or creating dance that tells stories of our communities, while for others home may represent learning to be comfortable in our own bodies.
Who are we when we are alone or far away from those we love? What do we do when home isn’t what we thought it was? How might we explore our memories of home by creating tiny objects or shadow puppets? Can we dance our history and share it with others? Does food taste different when it comes from our own lands? When we know who we are and where we come from, we can create anything.
Productions from Burkina Faso, Australia, Denendeh and more will challenge young minds and hearts with daring feats of dance and acrobatics, quiet contemplation and thrilling, colourful performance art. Packed with ticketed and free productions, Junior 2020 will offer children countless unanticipated possibilities and a whole lot of fun! Feed your imagination at Junior 2020 and come home to Harbourfront Centre.
