Junior returns to School Visits at Harbourfront Centre! Our exciting productions invite students to reimagine the world they live in and their place in it. Exploring belonging, transformation and personal expression, Junior will be your class’ new favourite trip of the year!

Full Day & Half Day programs with Creative Response Workshops available.

Iron Peggy

Toronto Premiere! Peg is struggling at her boarding school where three girls make her life miserable. When her grandmother dies Peg receives three cast iron Canadian soldiers, who come to life as Indigenous Snipers from WWI, just in time to wage an epic battle against the girls. A multi-media performance using theatre, video projection and animation tells a moving and powerful story.

Prior to the performance, students can work with our Visual Arts Educators to explore the themes presented in the play to express their own identities through a mixed media program entitled Altered Image.

Toronto Premiere! Seven acrobats push their physical limits in an intimate performance that is simultaneously raw, energetic and delicate. On a stripped down stage and close to the performers, you will feel the beat of live percussion, hear every breath and be immersed in every moment – from awe inspiring performance to the human reality of failure. You’ve never experienced circus this way!

Following the performance, your students can work with our Performing Arts Educators in a collaborative movement workshop, exploring the various elements of dance including, body, time, space and relationship.

At Junior’s relaxed performances, the intensity of the performances sound and light effects will be reduced, and audience members will be allowed to move freely throughout the performance.
