Cooking Demo Assistant
The Cooking Demo Assistant provides a service to enhance and support the cooking demonstrations that are an important part of many festivals at Harbourfront Centre.
- Assist patrons in entering, exiting and finding a seat within the venue
- Assist the chef with set-up, clean-up, organizing tools and anything else, as needed
- Hand out information and recipes
- Collect tickets and hand out food samples

Cooking Demo Ticket Seller
The Cooking Demo Ticket Seller provides a service to enhance and support the cooking demonstrations that are an important part of many festivals at Harbourfront Centre.
- Count the cash float prior to selling tickets for food sampling at the cooking demo
- Record the number of tickets sold at the end of each shift
- Reconcile the cash float at the end of each shift and mark down on the sheets provided the number of tickets sold and the revenue that was generated

Cooking Demo Venue Leader
The Cooking Demo Venue Leader coordinates the volunteers at each venue and works closely under the supervision of a Harbourfront Centre staff member/team coordinator, and is responsible for one venue per shift.
- Meet and brief volunteers on their duties and responsibilities
- Ensure that they are set up properly at their work stations/venues
- Arrange breaks for volunteers and fill in for them when they are away from their post

Craft & Design Animateur
The Craft & Design Animateurs are a dedicated group of volunteers who inform and enrich the public visits to our Craft & Design Studio.
- Engage the public in lively conversations concerning Craft and Design and our Artist-in-Residence programme
- Answer questions about studio activities, processes, and facilities (Animateurs are required to attend a mandatory training session)
- Facilitate conversation between the public and the Artists-in-Residence
- Give out brochures and handouts

- Some knowledge of Craft and/or Design practice is preferred

Décor Assistant
The Décor Assistant provides a decorating service that is an integral part of the event or programme, both as a visual element and also as part of the overall creative concept.
- Prepare site decoration materials
- Install the site décor throughout the festival site
- Dismantle the site decor after the completion of the event
- Secure the site decorations in their appropriate storage area

Fundraising Assistant
The Fundraising Assistant is the perfect job for music lovers; collect donations as you watch a concert next to the lake. Concerts will be at the WestJet Stage or Music Garden during summer months.
- Engage/welcome the audience as they enter concert
- Collect coins/bills in donation boxes as people enter and exit
- Hand out pamphlets/maps/stickers to concert goers
- Direct people to the donation stations on site

Gallery Attendant
The Gallery Attendant directs gallery visitors through the various exhibitions at the ArtPort Gallery.
- Welcome and direct visitors around the gallery, give out brochures and handouts
- Direct audience to sign the guestbook
- Instruct patrons that food or drink is not allowed in the gallery
- Monitor the installation, make sure that no one touches any art objects
- Answer questions (staff member to provide information beforehand)
Required Skills
- Post secondary students enrolled in visual arts and\or humanities programmes are preferred for applicants

The Greeter assists and supports the effective running of the event by monitoring the audience that enters the venue.

- Monitor the workshop and make sure that all materials are returned to their proper places and supplies are well-stocked
