Harbourfront Centre is disappointed to announce that serious infrastructure issues have forced the closure of its iconic outdoor waterfront rink this winter.
We are also deeply disappointed that we must cancel our 2020–21 skating season, including our Learn to Skate program, as we were all looking forward to getting outside and skating on one of the most beautiful rinks in the city. Learn more here.
Harbourfront Centre continues to monitor the rapidly changing situation regarding the COVID-19 virus. For the health and safety of all our staff and our volunteers, our patrons, supporters and the community, and in line with the advice and guidelines of Toronto Public Health, we will be closed to the public until further notice. Grada Kilomba will engage in lively conversation with The Power Plant’s Director, Gaëtane Verna, about her career as a writer and artist and Secrets to Tell, her exhibition at The Power Plant. In a co-presentation with the Black Artists' Network Dialogue (B.A.N.D.), we will also screen the North American debut of the first entry in Kilomba's ILLUSIONS film series during this program. B.A.N.D. is dedicated to supporting, documenting and showcasing the artistic and cultural contributions of Black artists and cultural workers in Canada and internationally, connecting Black culture to communities to inspire, enlighten and educate through the arts.

With choices curated by Summer 2018 artist Ellen Gallagher, The Power Plant will present a conversation with the artist and poet Natasha Tretheway, to be moderated by Ivy Wilson at the Art Gallery of Ontario's Jackman Hall. This talk will take place at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Jackman Hall.
