Harbourfront Centre is disappointed to announce that serious infrastructure issues have forced the closure of its iconic outdoor waterfront rink this winter.
We are also deeply disappointed that we must cancel our 2020–21 skating season, including our Learn to Skate program, as we were all looking forward to getting outside and skating on one of the most beautiful rinks in the city. Learn more here.
Harbourfront Centre continues to monitor the rapidly changing situation regarding the COVID-19 virus. For the health and safety of all our staff and our volunteers, our patrons, supporters and the community, and in line with the advice and guidelines of Toronto Public Health, we will be closed to the public until further notice. The Power Plant is pleased to welcome renowned international artist Ellen Gallagher to Face to Face for the 2018 edition of the gallery's annual fundraiser. The evening will begin with a panel presented by Sotheby's and featuring Gallagher alongside artist Brendan Fernandes, collector Bob Rennie and moderated by Eric Shiner, Sotheby's Senior Vice President of Contemporary Art. An intimate dinner follows, where guests will be treated to animated conversation between Canadian contemporary artists and cultural producers, who will provide their perspectives on Canada’s current cultural landscape.

Public Studio is the collective art practice of filmmaker Elle Flanders and architect Tamira Sawatzky. Public Studio creates large-scale public art works, lens-based works, films and immersive installations. Grounded in the personal, social and political implications of landscape, Public Studio’s multidisciplinary practice engages themes of political dissent, war and militarization, and ecology and urbanization, through the activation of site. Flanders and Sawatzky will discuss Emeka Ogboh’s exhibition The Song of the Germans.
