Karen uses a variety of mixed media in her art making practice and develop workshops that explore the ways in which recyclable materials can be repurposed to make unique art projects. Her children’s and family art workshops have been presented at a wide range of venues; from the Harbourfront Centre and Toronto Public Library branches, all the way to Downsview Park and TDSB (Toronto District School Board) classrooms. Karen has also been commissioned to create murals by the City of Toronto and BIA (Business and Improvement Association) street beautification project, and has designed cover and poster art illustration for multi-disciplinary arts festival.

Troy Brathwaite is a Chef at the JW Marriott who grew up in St. Michael's, which is considered the kite capital of Barbados. Troy has had a fascination with kites from a young age watching the kites “dance” in the sky. Growing up Troy learned how to make different styles of kites with different materials, and for all occasions and as he grew older, his fascination with kites grew and they became more detailed. There is nothing like the captivating wind in Barbados that just lets your kite dance and whistle in the sea breeze for all to enjoy.
