About Rene Arcueno: 
Rene was born in Masbate, Philippines and moved to Manila to pursue his dream of being a chef. He studied at Bulacaan Standard Academy and took Basic Culinary and went on to study at the renowned HRCP Hotel & Restaurant Culinary Arts of Philippines and there Rene obtained his diploma in Advanced Culinary. He landed a position at Mario's Steak House, Manila's leading steak house for fine dining. Rene worked his way up from steward to Head Chef after a few short years. There Rene met the previous owner of Casa Manila Restaurant. She loved the food so much, she asked to meet the person who cooked her meal. She asked him to come to Toronto to be the head chef of Casa Manila. He describes himself as a perfectionist who wants to please all those who taste his cooking.
