About Mary Luz Mejia (host):
Food enthusiast, writer (journalist by training), researcher, intrepid traveler and Gemini-nominated food TV producer/director begins to cover it. Mary Luz Mejia is the associate editor of Canada's national travel magazine, Ensemble Vacations, as well as the culinary travel section editor for Worldly Delights. She has penned hundreds of food articles, culinary profiles, food celebrity interviews and cultural explorations into the foods we eat and why we love them.
About Joshna Maharaj:
Joshna Maharaj is a busy chef with big ideas! With a simple but thoughtful approach to food and cooking, Joshna creates food with excitement and enthusiasm. With recipes that are diverse, wholesome and delicious, her approach to food is accessible and uncomplicated. Currently, Joshna is working with the Scarborough General Hospital to put more wholesome, local food on patients’ plates. Joshna is also a blogger for Sustain Ontario, and has a regular guest spot on CBC’s Steven & Chris. Joshna is an organizer, working with members of Toronto’s food community to develop our vision about a truly sustainable food system and culture.
About Richard Cazeau:
Richard "Caz" Cazeau is a broadcaster and producer with over a decade of experience. He's also an avid foodie, traveller, self-proclaimed TV nerd and adrenaline junkie. As a former anchor, reporter and producer for a popular international entertainment news program called The Loop on MuchMoreMusic, he did everything from conducting celebrity interviews on the red carpet to hosting radio shows. During his run, he interviewed such diverse notables as: billionaire Richard Branson, environmental scientist David Suzuki, comedian Sacha Baron Cohen, filmmaker Spike Lee, actor Jamie Foxx, actress Shirley MacLaine, musicians The Dixie Chicks, Coldplay and country legend Dolly Parton, just to name a few. Cazeau can now be seen on Citytv's What's Cooking where he co-hosts with Jack Hourigan and Warren Assaly.
About Chef Jo Lusted:
Jo is the food producer and has a regular segment, "The Ingredient," on CBC’s internationally syndicated TV show, Steven & Chris. She is an accomplished writer and recipe development chef; currently resident chef, contributing editor, and member of the advisory board for Clean Eating Magazine. Jo also writes for foodnetwork.ca, foodie.ca, and suite101.com, is a contributing food specialist for Canadian Living Magazine, and is a culinary instructor with Aphrodite Cooks.
