Sadio Sissokho was brought up with the West African music tradition in Casamance in southern Senegal. He is from a famous Jali family and has been surrounded by music all of his life. He is the son of the kora player Jali Kemo Cissoko. His mother Bintou Konte is a singer from Mali. All of his nine siblings work as tradition bearing musicians around the world. Sadio learnt the kora from his father, who learnt from his father and so on. He has embellished the tradition and developed his own style of kora playing and singing. He has his own group Casa Revolution and he has played with different artists like Daby Balde, Fafadi, Jessica and with the family band Jalikunda Cissoko. Sadio has been touring in Senegal and in Europe.
