About Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou:

For 43 years, Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou has produced a fine blend of groove-laden, homemade voodoo funk.

Calling the West African country of Benin home, the band has toured extensively through Nigeria, Togo, Niger, Angola and much of West Africa, sharing stages with the likes of  Manu Dibango, Fela Kuti and Gnonnas Pedro.

Although Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou won over the ears of fans, deejays and aficionados within Africa,  the band had never had a chance to take their music out of their home continent - that is until 2009 when the founding members toured Europe.
