Orpheus was a legendary musician, poet, and prophet in ancient Greek religion and myth. He had the ability to charm all living things and even move mountains with his music. His choice of instrument was a lyre, which basically looked like a hand-held harp.
Fast forward to the year 2006, where a group of students began their musical journey in the small town of Bolton, Ont. After five short years, those five students have become a true rock band and, just like Orpheus, moved everyone and anything around him. Sara, David, Andrea, Josh and Alex are looking to have a similar effect on Canada and the world with their music. The band boasts electric guitar, bass, keyboards and drums, but the most powerful instrument from this band, however, comes from the voice of their nine-year-old lead singer.
From the classic rock of '60s and '70s, to the hard rock of the 80s and the heavy metal of the '90s, this band has got it covered! They also have a healthy dose of blues, acoustic and progressive rock songs in their set list, and every single song they perform is done with the band's unique little twists and turns that make their brand of music a very new, fresh and exciting approach to rock and roll!
