It was in 2006 that Godlalune made its first appearance, with its two writer-composer-performers, Sébastien Bigras (G-netik) and Michel Asselin Mallette (Snooz). Over the last few years, this band from the Outaouais has managed to make quite a name for itself on Quebec’s hip hop scene. Despite the challenges involved in breaking into this circle, these two acolytes never once relented after launching their adventure.
Unconditional fans of America’s East Coast rap, and passionate about music, Godlalune aims to give Quebec’s hip hop scene a positive image.
At this point, the duo has played more than 100 shows. They have performed in several cities across Quebec at various events, such as the Jeux du Québec 2010 in Gatineau, the 2010 Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival, and many others.
Ever since the release of their first album, Godlalune has been a hit on the airwaves. Three of its singles held first place over several weeks on NRJ 104.1. The two accomplices also composed and performed the NRJ 104.1 summer theme song, "Été de course."
