Fara Palmer got her first taste of stage-life at the age of twelve when she sang at an outdoor concert alongside artists Buffy Ste. Marie, Floyd 'Red Crow' Westerman, Morley Loon & Winstun Wuttinee. She has since shared stages across North America with Shania Twain, Ray Charles, Sarah McLoughlin, and Jann Arden among others.

She has enjoyed national and international success with albums This Is My World (1998), Prettybrown (2000), and Phoenix (2008), and won Best Female Artist at the Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards in both 1999 and 2000. Over the years, she has been nominated for numerous other Canadian and international awards including the Juno and FAITA awards.

Recently, Fara has been performing internationally with a traditional plains cree singing group called Iskwew Aboriginal Women Singers.
