About chef Stephen Pynn:
Stephen Pynn happened into this business through travel. While in Ireland, he had a job as a dishwasher, and soon after the chef asked if he'd be interested in cooking. He completed his apprenticeship over three years in Ireland and Spain, specifically Galway and Barcelona. While in Europe, Pynn worked in Ireland, Spain and Scotland, under English, German, Italian, French and Spanish chefs. Returning to Canada, he continued in the culinary world in Toronto.
Pynn began his culinary career in Toronto as a sous chef at Jump, then Canoe and now as chef de cuisine at Oliver & Bonacini’s Bannock Restaurant. Always in search of local, sustainable and delicious food, the Spanish and Portuguese style of food and living is his favorite.
At Bannock, Pynn's goal is to create multicultural dishes that are wholesome, balanced, fun and delicious!
