Elizabeth Doxtater's solo work is a breathtaking homage to the strong traditions of democracy and peace of the Haundenosaunee Confederacy, with a representation of 50 clanmothers facing outwards and 50 chiefs facing inwards at the Tree of Peace – all of which is made from corn husks.
Join us for an Opening Reception in the Oreintation Room at Woodland Cultural Centre on Saturday, August 11 at 2:30pm.
This exhibition will be displayed in the Stan Hill Gallery of the Woodland Cultural Centre during Planet IndigenUS and through October 7, 2012.
