About Rebozos:

The Rebozos name is taken from a beautiful garment worn in all parts of Mexico. Its origin is from the Colonial period when Indian women combined their traditional long cotton cloth shawls with the cloaks worn by Spanish women thus creating the rebozo.

Mexican cuisine is itself based on pre-hispanic traditions, including those of the Aztecs and Maya, whose use of corn and chile peppers, combined with culinary trends introduced by Spanish colonists, such as the use of beef, pork and cheese, to create the wonderful dishes enjoyed today.
