Event Coordination
Once your date and venue have been confirmed, an event coordinator will be assigned to work with you on the advance planning for your event. This person will be your main contact for all technical, front-of-house, and production requirements, and will also direct you to the various staff here who facilitate ticketing, catering, sponsorship, and marketing (as required). Staff roles vary depending on the venue you are renting (the two larger theatres operate differently from the Artport venues), so please access the individual venue information packages for specific staff requirements for each venue.
In-house Equipment and Rentals
Harbourfront Centre maintains an excellent inventory of modern audio visual, sound and lighting equipment in each of its venues. You will find detailed technical packages attached to each venue. All technical equipment and property inventory is subject to change based on availability and/or unavoidable breakdown. Rental of any additional technical, audio-visual or other equipment not in Harbourfront Centre’s inventory can be facilitated by our event coordinators. (All charges for rental of equipment not in our inventory will be passed on to you.)
Filming and Recording
Harbourfront Centre allows videotaping, filming or recording at any performance for the purposes of news reports, advertising or promotional broadcast no longer than five minutes in length with the permission and/or at the request of the organization renting the facility. All other instances of filming and recording will be subject to a separate permit to be negotiated and issued by the Harbourfront Centre Filming Coordinator on behalf of the venue and Harbourfront Centre. Your event coordinator will facilitate this process for you.
Catering
Harbourfront Centre is happy to recommend a caterer to facilitate receptions. Only licensed caterers are permitted to operate at Harbourfront Centre. All caterers are subject to landmark fees.
Our catering policies and procedures are available upon request. Please indicate whether you require food and beverage service on your inquiry form and we will send you the appropriate package.
Box Office Services & Ticketed Events
Harbourfront Centre operates its own in-house Box Office, which provides full ticketing services through on-site ticket outlets, telephone and online sales. All events requiring paid access are considered ticketed events, and must be ticketed through the Harbourfront Centre Box Office. For full details of our ticketing policy, please see the information for each venue.
